Career
Aiba joined Johnny's Jimusho in August of 1996 for the sole reason of wanting to play basketball with SMAP. It is a good example of the type of person he is-- whimsical and never thinking ahead. His cheerful and easygoing personality distinguished him from the rest of the Jrs. and he soon became one of the popular members within the group, going so far as to acquire the nickname "Super Idol Aiba-chan" somewhere along the way. He was the last to know about his part in the formation of Arashi, learning of the fact only three days before their official debut in Hawaii in September of 1999.

As the childish if not somewhat ditzy member of the group, Aiba is often the first to suggest crazy, off-the-wall ideas; even if not, he would definitely be one of the first to throw his support behind the others. As a result, Aiba has his own segment on their regular variety show ("G no Arashi") called "A no Arashi", in which he carries out many bizarre but fun experiments with the assistance of the other members. Outside of group activities, Aiba is also one of the regulars on a children's show called Tensai! Shimura Dobutsuen, where he interacts with a wide variety of animals.

In 2007, Aiba completed shooting for a drama special called "Triple Kitchen", and the filming for a movie ("Kiiroi Namida") in which he starred alongside the other four members of Arashi. It was set in the 60s and he playid the role of an aspiring musician.

Information
Matsumoto Jun is one of five members of the Japanese boy band ARASHI of Johnny's Entertainment. Matsumoto is considered an elite in Johnny's, because he is one of the three in his batch to join Johnny's Entertainment without having to audition. Other elites are Nakai Masahiro and Higashiyama Noriyuki. Beginning his career as a backup dancer in Johnny's Jrs., Matsumoto Jun debuted with his fellow Arashi members Aiba Masaki, Ninomiya Kazunari, Ohno Satoshi, and Sakurai Sho. Matsumoto gained great popularity with his charm, sense of style and choice of unconventional acting roles.

Matsumoto proved his acting abilities winning Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for his role as Sawada Shin in the drama adaptation of Gokusen. In 2005, Matsumoto proved his acting skills once again by winning the same award for the second time at the 47th Television Drama Academy Awards2005 for his role as Doumyouji Tsukasa in the drama adaptation of Hana Yori Dango (花より男子), a famous shoujo manga by Kamio Yoko.

Aside from acting, singing, and dancing, Matsumoto is occupied by hosting a variety of television programs ranging from entertainment shows, community service, and music variety. He currently co-hosts the show Utawara Hot Hit 10 with Matsuura Aya. He also hosts his own radio program, JunStyle and has also expressed his talents in theatre. Most recently he has finished the stage play Valkyrie with Suzuki Anne, his co-star from Kindaichi Shounen no Jikembo 3

Matsumoto appeared on a 15th anniversary special of Yonimo Kimyouna Monogatari which aired on March 28th of 2006. He playes a college student who encounters a mysterious cloaked man who suddenly appears in his apartment. Matsumoto Jun's highly anticipated life action movie of the highly controversial and taboo manga Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru is to be released later this year. He will be playing Yori a top high school student who has deep non-botherly feelings towards his own younger twin sister.

On the silver screen, Matsumoto will be co-starring with his fellow band members in a movie titled Kiiroi Namida or "Yellow Tears" which is rumored to be released some time in 2007. The movie is set during the 1960s. According to reports, "Ninomiya Kazunari will play a young man who wants to become a manga artist, Aiba Masaki a singer, Ohno Satoshi a painter and Sakurai Sho a novelist. As for Matsumoto Jun, he will play a young man from Iwate that came to Tokyo through group employment."

Mastumoto Jun is known for being very serious and professional when it comes to his work. Despite being the youngest member, he is very protective of his bandmates in ARASHI. Outside of his close friends, Matsujun dislikes being touched by strangers and is fairly aloof when in private. Despite this, however he also has great respect for the loyalty of his fans and supporters. Matsumoto has one older sister.

Information
Nino's hometown is Katsushika-ku in Tokyo. He finished high school in his early years of ARASHI, but admits to not being a particularly good student. He participated in the school baseball team, but had few friends in his childhood. He often remained withdrawn because he did not want to cause trouble for others or to do anything that required too much effort. In his childhood, Nino was often blamed for things he hadn't done and bullied by other students.

Nino's family includes himself, his mother and father, and a sister three years older than him. His parents are divorced, but he does not give many details about his father in general. Though he tells many stories about his mother and sister, he rarely speaks of his father. Nino's father was once a cooking instructor, and his family (it is unclear which side) runs a factory that manufactors parts of car windshield wipers. His grandfather expected him to take over the business because he is the eldest son, but this seems to be forgiven in light of his success in ARASHI.

Nino grew up in a low-income household, and often tells stories of ways his family to this day tries to save money. Even as one of the most successful members of ARASHI, he retains this trait and is called the stingiest member. For example, he always "forgets" his wallet when going out to dinner with friends, and tries to avoid outings with Juniors so that he won't have to pay.

Ohno Satoshi

Information
Ohno attended Toukai Daigaku Fuzoku Bousei Koutou Gakkou, but dropped out only after a couple of days. He said that High School wasn't for him and his parents consented. Many other idols have attended this school, including other Johnny's members Aiba Masaki, Domoto Koichi, Inohara Yoshihiko (drop out), and Machida Shingo (drop out). He then went to Kyoto with his very close friend Machida Shingo to take part in several plays.

Ohno's family includes himself, his mother and father, and an older sister. Ohno is said to be very close to his mother, and has mentioned that she even buys his clothes for him. He still refers to her as "Kaa-chan." It was his mother who got him to audition for Johnnys. During the auditions, he saw her outside of a window and waved to her, catching the attention of the infamous "President Johnny". Mr. Johnny caught Ohno not paying attention and told him to go up front and dance. After watching Ohno demonstrate a few moves, Mr. Johnny complimented Ohno by saying, "You have good rhythm!". This is how Ohno believed he passed the audition.

Ohno is also known for his artisic talent. He has shown some of his drawings on television programs, and had a special corner on the program D no Arashi! called "O no Arashi!" in which he was challenged to select two photos at random and attempt to combine them in one drawing. Ohno has also worked with clay sculpture, and has expressed an interest in wood carving as well as in building a house.

Ohno is the first member of Johnny's to have his own art exhibit. It was called FREESTYLE to emphasize that there was no theme to his artwork. Ohno had no particular style, so therefore explains the meaning of his Freestyle in his art. The original exhibit took place in Omotesandou Hills and ran from February 21, 2008 to February 29, 2008 and was free. The exhibit was so successful that it was taken on the road with Arashi's 2008 Dome Tour. It remained free of charge throughout it's run.
